A unique forestry project has started this spring in the north of Iceland. An ecological investment and forestry project of 12 million m2 (1200 hectares).

The main goal of the project is to grow a multifunctional forest. A forest that retains carbon, balances water management, increases soil fertility and provides long-term certified timber benefits. In addition, the forest will permanently increase the value of the area for outdoor activities with the diversity and shelter provided by the forest.

Our impactful project aims to restore nature, enhance biodiversity, and protect precious ecosystems and habitats. In collaboration with the Icelandic Forrest Service, we are committed to strategically planting 143,000 trees in Fagranes; (nearby Akureyri), ensuring a green and sustainable future.
This is just the beginning. Our first project in Fragranes will set the foundation for our ongoing efforts to expand reforestation across Iceland. As we progress, we plan to initiate more projects, planting even more trees to further combat climate change and foster a thriving natural environment. Join us in making a significant impact on Iceland’s landscape and beyond, as we work together towards a sustainable future.
